Having cycled the Aboyne to Ballater section a couple of times I found it quite exposed/cold as you approach Ballater. I can recommend the scones and hot choc at the station cafe (is that what it's called) for refuelling though - got me & QP back to Aboyne again.

Magnus isn't. And Lachlan is finished by 11. Steve is signed up for D33 again so Kara will be about too. And Calum's orchestra finishes in March for the break...

Thank you HP. Good to know. Lots of good cake options in Ballater.

Not picked up the mail yet MrsShanksi but basically the bus from Ballater to Aboyne leaves 5mins before the hour every hour on Sat. (it leaves every two hours on Sun). Similar options if you want to bus out and run back to Aboyne but cannot start before 9am unless you wanted to do something complicated with cars.

I am writing my WHW race training plan tonight, so this is well timed!

Unfortunately you can count me out of the group runs for the rest of this month as I'll be too busy drinking tequila and eating Mexican food in Texas. However, looking forward to lots of running in February - I shall reply to the email :)

What's he been saying? I didn't say you were moaning! I'll give him a slap tomorrow ;-). I do think RitchieC should post on here himself and follow stuff instead of speaking to me about it
