I didn't go last night unfortunately but I hear on good authority that I missed an excellent BBQ and the pub was very nice (think the run was good too!)

Missed the Sunday trail, I'm afraid, combination of dodgy achilles and unexpected weekend guest arrivals. Hope it went well?

It did, thanks Bru, 51 people took part which for this far north (ie Suffolk) and in not the best weather, was pretty good. I gather not so many Springfield will be able to make the next one (Aug 3) due to a club event but I hope to get a few more Colchester Harriers to that one and we also had several people who had never done a trail run before so I hope a few of those will give the next one a go and tell their friends too.

Been a bit quiet on this thread for a while.... :-o

Just a reminder that a very short hop over the Suffolk border on Sunday is the second in the BBC series of trail runs (Bergholt, Bentley and Cattawade). This one is from................can you guess..............Bentley. Register from 10am, start from 1030 at the Case is Altered pub in Bentley (park in the field at the end of the lane please not the pub car park). You'll find the village of Bentley 1 mile from the A12 to the East of the Capel St Mary (big garden centre) exit. The route is about 7 miles and pretty flat.

Ah no! only just read this. Really fancied a trail run but did not think one was on. Did my own little route instead.

True Gritts!
Recently joined East London Runners ran my first race for them on Sat @ the Orion 5. Good to catch up with El Capitan afterwards :)

He said he'd seen you and you'd accidentally joined the wrong club ;-)

Sorry to have missed you, I doubt I'll be at the Barking park one either but I'll be at Valentines in September
