I thought Brian was on top form too. "Kate's given me that look again"

But what's going on with Kenton?

Could it be that Rob revealed his desire to emulate '50 Shades of Grey'?

Does anyone think 'old' Pat, ie the character as she used to be written, would fall under Rob's spell as easily as that?

No, me neither.

Get the impression Rob was quite forceful - holding her down etc whilst being amorous. Helen would normalise this behaviour as she is a bit loopy and desperate to please him.

Meantime Rob will get his teeth into Bridge Farm hence sucking up about organic food etc this week

Thing is Helen was crying and VERY nervous onFriday, so was obviously quite badly shaken. (Or hit) I don't think she's normalised his behaviour yet.

You're dead right LD - the Pat as previously written would definitely note something was 'up' and would not have been convinced by Rob.

Relistening to the omnibus today - quite pleasant in itself - I think it's probably marital rape, perhaps without contraception so Rob can sire a child. Rob got her pissed and Pat agreeing to look after Henry (Helen thought they were in cahoots) probably makes Helen normalise things, not difficult given her fragile mental health.

Friday's listen was uncomfortable.

Pip is an idiot for quitting her job after 3 days. Rex or Toby (can't tell them apart) obviously put the willies up her. Sadly we are stuck with her.

New Tom at least has some of Old Tom's 'businesslike cutthroat' personality when it comes to the shop!
