Great to see Brian on form tonight. He is by far the best character. Kate is awful but a very well drawn character.

Brian is consistently good - and you know what you're getting with him.. not like this Grace's ghost nonsense with Jill which I don't believe has ever been mentioned before in the last 10-15 years............. er not that I have listened to EVERY episode in that time of course

Ahh, Grace. There's a R4 programme centred on the plotline and production staff, 'starring' the actual Grace coming up for the 50th anniversary of her death. What more do you need but an interesting Archers plotline to plant a seed.....? And a hefty dose of corporate cynicism. |

Just back from "The Trip of my Life(so far)" Horse riding in Mongolia 🐎 They had not heard the Archers. As most Gers have solar & satellite and the people are herders I think the BBC are missing a great marketing opportunity. Will tune into listen again to get up to speed. |

And thus........ I suspect we bid farewell to another much loved character (or at least the actress who plays her) I know she's not back in Ambridge very often but handing over her share of the farm.... that sounds like someone being written out to me

Yes, I think so too :-(. A lot of the old guard have become silents or moved to Brum/Tuscany/wherever, and instead we have non-characters like TobyRex.

I can't tell Toby / Rex / New Tom / Charlie apart. I miss old Pip who was annoying but better than the doormat, Fairbrother-stalker she is now I quite like Charlie as a character though. |
