:-( Still no Scruff. Maybe he'll come back when we're least expecting it, in 15 years' time, like Dr Locke has just done.

Why on earth bring him back?
Maybe we're supposed to believe Usha will be remotely interested

But Alistair has been suspiciously absent for ages... I thought we were about to get another new actor. Might Shula have buried ( still my beating heart) 'feelings' ?

No mention of a wife for Richard was there?

This was the first part of the Usha v Shula spat? Fighting over a hunky doc?

Then there was Shula being pious over Alan's statue of Ganesh in his study and worshipping away from St Stephens a few years back.

I've been convinced that Alastair has been having an affair (or is back on the gambling) for a while because he seems to be attending a lot of 'conferences' recently. Usha also doesn't appear much these days. I can't imagine this is a one off appearance by Dr Locke though.......

In fairness though, if you had to live with whiny Shula wouldn't you go to every conference you had a chance?

How likely is it that after 15 years a GP would return to a small village where he was part of a gossip-fest and 'love triangle'? The chances are vanishingly small, I'd say. I'm finding this trawling through old cast lists - like the return of Carol Toboggan - rather irritating.

I haven't actually listened for several weeks now. I'm getting my info from FB. Ridiculous, isn't it ;-)

I'm just amazed that no- one in Ambridge has needed a GP for the last 15 years

I agree LD & HB. I was trying to work out whether there even is a Drs' surgery in Ambridge now or whether everyone has to go to Borchester (or somewhere) every time they need a GP? You don't hear many people complaining that you can't get an appointment for two weeks (like the little village practice near me which, like I imagine many practices out in the back of beyond, is woefully short of doctors at the moment). And if Joe wasn't able to get to see the doctor about his farmer's lung for a fortnight I am sure he would have mentioned it once or seventeen times .... :-)
