I still like the slow burn Helen Rob plot. (Yes of COURSE I loathe Helen. Who doesn't?)

I'm rather enjoying anything with Carol thingy (Eleanor Bron). The Brookfield sale is just annoying: either it will go through, in which case we'll lose very central characters for no good reason, or it won't, in which case I'm wasting my time being strung a line. I quite like Helen / Rob scenes too - I wonder if there will be something tonight at Peggy's 90th bash where he again denigrates her choice of dress and chips away at her fragile self-esteem. |

I think it is highly unlikely that Brookfield will be sold. It would bring about the end of The Archers! So I can not get worked up about it.

I'm wondering if Peggy will make it to her 90th bash tonight..... given the way the scripts are going at the moment. The Grundys will have a turkey disaster, even though Carol is helping them, As for David & Ruth, the selling of Brookfield and the new road saga.....I really despair I'm intrigued by the Helen/Rob thing though....and I doubt we have heard the last of his wife yet either....... |

Baroness - every time we mention Rob's ex wife in our dog's presence we have to say 'The Wife'.

I'd just quite like it if people were able to finish a conversation instead of all this EastEnders style 'cut to next'.

I can imagine Sharkie....especially if you are discussing 'The Wife' in a cross/exasperated way... it would be most confusing for poor Jess otherwise. Thank goodness Linda Snell isn't called Wanda Snell

Shouldn't The Wife have had her baby by now? The way she disappears, reappears and disappears again with next to no comment is utterly beyond belief. I know Helen is meant to be a stupid, needy piece of work but the way she swallows Rob's explanations is hardly credible.

Good point LD - if the baby was a result of a Valentine's night liaison it's should appear any minute. Maybe they're saving it up for a Christmas Day special -- though in EE fashion it would be Helen presenting Rob with divorce papers...
