The whole storyline, from the first intimation that a new road might be built, to the incoherent reasons for upping sticks to Northumbria, is ludicrous and assumes listeners have no inkling of how these things work in real life. I know it's drama, but it's meant to be drama rooted in truth, not fantasy. I agree CStar, I doubt that it will happen but it will make for poor listening while the storyline unfolds. |

I'm hoping Mr O'Connor won't be in charge for too much longer. The programme really has nose dived since he took over and is now more like a tamed down version of Eastenders than the Archers I grew up with and continued to enjoy in to my adulthood.

Or put another way - my OH now enjoys The Archers and he's an avid Casualty fan!

It seems that way. And I assume Ruth & David will sell up and then the new road is cancelled?
