It's an interesting arc. I'm hoping that last weeks pseudo-effort* will go somewhere. Probably not this season though. So many hybrids have been mentioned but it seems to be going nowhere ...

A few things have made me think of the Kovarian connection. Kovarian's '... the endless war against you. Doctor!' spiel at Demons Run. The colour of lip stick worn by Kovarian and Lady Me (in The Woman Who Lived (iirc)) seem quite similar ~ possibly a taunt? A rather tentative potential link is The Doctor mispronounciation of Ashildr as 'Shielder', could the eyepatch worn by Kovarian be viewed as *a shielder'? Demons Run is set in the 52nd century and, if Ashildr does morph into Kovarian, then she's had over 4,000 years to mop up after the good doctor ~ possibly explaining Kovarian's bitterness at Demons Run.

A few other bits too ~ one or two from tonight's episode ;)

But, all that said, I'm probably completely wide of the mark :o :)

or maybe not.

For the first time since 'under the sea' i want to know what happens next. I thought the hidden street was very familiar, middle of the night I realised that's it's Neverwhere which is a Neil gaiman book. Which in googling find that Peter Capaldi was in!

Clara prediction:

We've seen her sitting inside a dalek, inside a Morpheus pod, and synthesised by one of those whossnames a couple of weeks ago. She's not dead, it was just the Dr Who equivalent of a horcrux.

Is Clara really dead? Perhaps she is.
Or perhaps not. Earlier in the programme, when the doomed marked old man was about to start running away from the approaching raven, one of the inhabitants muttered "Don't run, they always run, don't run". The old man died. Clara accepted her fate and didn't run, so has that saved her and she isn't really dead?
We shall see.

Johnny Blaze
I hope she stays dead, personally and not just because she isn't a terribly good actress. Dead characters get resurrected so many times that it removes all sense of jeopardy from the show.
