If it was Clara, though, and he's obviously bothered by the death, he wouldn't be having anything to do with here would he? He'd be keeping well clear because she's obviously dead already.

But given Clara's acting skills, he may not have noticed she's dead.

Or maybe, that does account for her acting skills? <harsh!>

OK, now here’s the thing: I always think there’s a correlation between the popularity of the episode and the number of posts on this thread. Good or controversial episode? Lots of comments. Meh episode? A few comments.

So what do we make of the fact that there hasn’t been a single comment on this thread about Saturday’s episode???

Random thoughts:
- Overall I enjoyed it, though the speed at which the Doc figured out that the Mummy was a soldier while being attacked was a bit weak.
- Like the idea of the Doc and the Assistant arguing and not always being lovey-dovey
- I must have missed a bit but I’m not sure why Clare was suddenly so keen to stay, at the end of the episode
- I’ve mentioned before how they seem to be rehashing old plots for this series – that episode was a blatant cross between the Titanic Xmas show and the one with the Minotaur
- finally – and I know not everyone will agree with this – I’m really, really liking the Capaldi Doc. Since Ecclestone they’re been increasingly nice (though I was looking for a better word than ‘nice’…) and I think it’s good to have someone a bit unsociable!

I have not failed to be entertained by Doctor Who since it returned to our screens with Christopher Eccleston. Loved him, loved David Tennant, loved Matt Smith and am starting to love Peter Capaldi. in terms of assistants, Martha got on my nerves a bit and I've reached not minding Clara, my favourite Doctor/Assistant relationship was David Tennant and Billie Piper, but my favourite Doctor/Assistant moment was this one:

I liked Saturday's episode. I like the idea that the mummy was a soldier who was defending his flag. And the sinister 'Gus'. I hated that Clara did that thing at the end about staying. But then I don't like her and wish she would just go and make babies with Danny.

Hubby thought there was a lot of Tom Baker references in this series. When the Dr was arguing with himself near the start hubby thought that one of the people in the argument seemed to sound like Tom Baker, then he had Jelly Babies later on. Anyone else pick up on it? I wouldn't have if hubby hadn't mentioned it.
