Not my cup of tea either Gus. Sports commentaries, particularly athletics, grind my gears big time (wrong thread I know). Just finished watching the cross-country racing from Edinburgh. Brendan and Paula were awful. All they went on about was the morality of athletes swapping countries. Maybe they discuss this on MT too?

Rant over. Get well soon Lou.

1.3 speed talking on podcasts really doesn't sound that odd, you'd be surprised PTB. I've only got so long per week in the car on my commute and I've got a long list of podcasts I want to get through each week. Speeding them up makes sure I can hear them all!

PTB - The pitch doesn't change, so it actually sounds quite normal!

Just had a try: 1.5x I didn't like, folk sound like they're really rushing. 1.3x is not so weird - but I have to concentrate 1.3x harder to make sure I catch everything!

Fleecy's blog recently made me think about how much time I do spend listening to podcasts - I estimated 20hrs/wk there. And I hardly listen to music anymore, at least not currently.

PtB - I'm not doing much quicker stuff at all yet. I was doing the club run with the faster group but last night when it set off at 6:00 - 6:30 pace I pulled something in my hip. I have a 7.5M circuit from work that's good for steady state training that I might try on Friday if my hip eases off.

Podcasts? Me none at all either. I love the sound of the great outdoors, can't spot birds, otters etc if you're not listening for them.
