Possibly both, Paul. Training has been 'okay', but I am just not sure that I can be bothered. Plu,s I have left it too late to replace my trainers and I don't want to fork out the money for new ones ...

You only have one pair?

Is that possible? Or allowed? ;-)

I'm up to 3 pairs now, I can't remember what life was like with just 2!

Ahem, I only have one 'suitable' pair, but I normally retire them around 500 miles and this pair now have almost double that. (I am ruling out my trail shoes and racing flats :-).)

Not as many as I thought, actually! And I suppose the dog isn't actually a shoe. (Does anyone else log their dog runs?!) Microspikes go on top of shoes. And barefoot is without a shoe. And the Vibrams I only wear indoors for gym. So really only 11 pairs? Oh and XC spikes are only for XC. 10. :-) G

I buy some in advance. Those Flite 220s are hardly worn. Bought them on special, I think. So I can still wear those (I use F-lites as sort of racing flats. Way nicer though!)

Most of the trail ones I'll just keep using til they fall to pieces. Actually, all of them I wear until they fall to pieces! 1200 is my record, I think. Wonder if I can beat that with the X-talons. Nearly there! :-) G
