Good to hear things are improving though.. I always liked the sub LT runs as they felt a nice controlled effort and was always nice to watch the pace increase for the same effort over the early part of the training cycle before pushing towards mp. Managed a nice easy double today to start the winter training... got to say i'm still not liking the suunto watch and may look to invest in a garmin again very soon... Best go buy some lottery tickets;-) |

Great run Claire, well done. A good solid weekend of racing by the looks of things. How are the Abingdon peeps enjoying the Taper? |

right, if I start back running tomorrow I should be able to notch up a 70 mile week, just to keep mileage in touch until your next break joe Here is an odd thing. In general after my long runs or my faster runs my old right hip/adductor injury plays up and then eases off after an easy day and some rehab. However thats at least 2 marathons in a row where the combination of long and fast running and there is no reaction from the hip/adductor. |

I'll tell you on Friday Daz when I only have 5 easy miles rather than a medium long run of 12 which has been the norm these past few weeks! Huntsman and WW's bad experiences in Bournemouth has given me a reality check. Keep my feet on the ground and don't get ahead of myself. |

postie - you are on P&D ? I love it when those midweek MLRs come to an end, they are the one run that I find really tough...but then again, when I have followed them to the letter of the law, they have resulted in my 2 best marathons, so having completed them in my view should be a real positive. |

Stoosh: Have to agree with you re Suunto. I like the GPS accuracy of the Suunto and uploading via Bluetooth but that's about it. I've had a look online for solutions to my biggest bugbears (big differences to distance/time when files are uploaded elsewhere - piss poor recording of intervals - average lap pace sitting steady for the whole mile then regularly overshooting at the end) but haven't been able to find anything. Not sure I want to go back to Garmin until the next batch of watches though. |

I've just ended up pausing the Suunto and doing a helluva lot of tidying up the page when i transfer it to fetch.. It was a gamble going for the Suunto rather than a garmin upgrade which just hasn't payed off!! Not to worry though, it'll come in useful for European races being stuck on km splits;-) |
