I'm still ticking along doing nothing in particular waiting for the 18 week to go marker to formally start training for London. All being well this will be only my second ever 1000 plus year and in fact should become my record year even though I haven't been training for anything specific at all this year. Will just keep turning the legs over for the next four weeks, really want to try and get in a couple of 13+ slow runs as well, I've been lacking anything over 8 miles recently.

Getting quite nervous about it all to be honest.

Excellent MF. First to start with Spring marathon nerves. Here we go again...! We really do need to poke ptb for a bit of an update. Autumn list over there is looking rather out of date --- >>>

When does 2015 start?! :-) G

Not that I've had any takers for it yet :-) (I am not re-doing the header with only my name on it, that would be bad for the ego! - not that I have much of an ego, Autumn racing has damaged what little I had! :-))

You shouldn't be putting your name in that header anyway Clare, for the same reason I'm not :-)

Nelly, as above, the ego has suffered a big enough dent this Autumn from getting ahead of myself - my name will firmly be in the sub-3:30 for VLM, target time 3:23:30, or 3:19:59 if I feel ambitious :-)

I shall however continue to lurk and learn from the Speed Endurance Gods in here :-)

Welcome amabs.

HappyG, maybe I could throw a spanner in your works re the header and plan a couple more attempts before the year is out ;-) Thinking ahead for VLM I am also looking at an 18 week plan and might even revisit 2010 when I had my best running year.

Clare, no reason why not. Plan your training around your target.
