Equinox race conpleted at 12noon today with 9 laps over the 24hrs, my back Seized up at 3rd lap and it was a struggle from there on with a nasty bad hill to negotiate each lap, needed walking poles to get my thru which was great, glad I took it with me or I would have suffered more

There's a 100th, a birthday and a retirement the same weekend. There has to be at least one small shandy drunk, I imagine.

i quite liked the Tallin course along the waterfront & past the Olympic sailing venue, through some lovely wooded areas.

I got Oslo done at the weekend, great city, not the greatest of courses & got a bit lonely for the slower folks - I ran 4.15 & was out there on my own - not often that happens - if you're over 3.30 it will be lonely they're a speedy bunch !!

A look back at my GPS suggests that I enjoyed certainly very much the first bit of the Tallinn Course out beside the water, watching the ships, and then over by the marina. I think it would be an excellent half marathon course. However, by the second lap I'd seen it all and just wanted to get back.

Also, as you know, I'm short of fitness (read knackered) and I was very lonely at the back until the half marathonners came tearing through and cast me aside.

I liked Tallinn as a city, and I'd go back to visit, but I'm in no rush to do the marathon again.

run free
DeeGee - no ropework - just nice severe drops and of course the possibility you can die but the scrammble is great. I didn't make the cut off time. Just not enough training going up and down from ground level to 1000m multiple times. Legs wouldn't go fast enough. Alas

#97 yesterday. I do enjoy Nottingham, still one of my favourite races, even if it was much hillier to start with than I remembered.
