Sorry to derail the thread but anybody been to Run Geek in Warrington and is it any good? Need new shoes and fancy a bit of a try on as I've done internet discount on the same old for the last three pairs and its time I spent some money in a proper shop.

Well done J.

LF - I've not been to Run Geek since they moved out of the centre of Warrington. When I went Sam (the owner) was really helpful, so much so that when we needed some vests and technical Ts producing with my employers logo etc on for teams at Manchester marathon we used Run Geek.

The only thing I'd say against Run Geek is they don't stock all major brands, hence the shoe selection is limited (i.e. they no longer stock Mizuno, so I can no longer get the trainers from them that they originally suggested to me). But obviously you can check online to see what they do stock.

Thanks. That's a bit of a bugger I like mizuno. I might still have a look. The other nearest actual shop is natterjack but gettibg to the centre of liverpool just for trainers is a bit of a no no. When natterjack were on smithdown road that was dead easy.

Jono.
is it the fit of your normal running shoes LF?

I always buy on line, but even so have found myself migrating between various styles & brands - currently running in asics zaraca. However this may change if I ever run long distance again or regularly.

faffing is good - just had trouble opening a bottle of wine, my poor arthritic hands! (NB I don't have arthritic hands)
