I am awful and feel I should just crawl under a slimy stone and stay there. The world seems grey, cold and hopeless and the thought of forcing myself into it fills me with a dread I can't even begin to explain. I feel like such a selfish bitch to be complaining at all. |

Absolutely. Good to know EB. It's good to feel good. Sympathies for all other sufferers. Hope it lifts at some point in the day or that tomorrow is a better one. On the other hand, guys, never feel bad, for feeling bad. It's like apologising for having a cancer. It's not your fault. Keep talking about it, if it helps. If that's the only thing that non sufferers like me can do is listen and sympathise, then bring it on. Shared understanding is a good thing, anyway. Take care y'all. G

Like it G. I think a diary is a good idea too EB - I do a similar thing with my blog on this site (I'd probably lose a diary!), makes good reading for me later to remind myself of the feelings I worked through and enjoyed, which i can forget about:-) Jangles - you still attending your therapy you started a few weeks back? Sorry to hear you're going though a rough patch just now. I think its good you can write down how you feel, even if you feel selfish. |

My counselling finished 2 weeks ago and I can't go back for 12 weeks. I could really do with having that outlet right now because I'm more stressed than I think I've ever been in my whole life.

Jangles is there anything else you can use as an outlet? What do you usually use to help you apart from counselling?

Yes, good points EB. Like your blog about a bad run - really good on you Ok Jangles I got it - potential dark spot in front of you. Things that might help? Not sure if you plan to go back in 12 weeks (I hope you do as you describe it as an outlet) Well I guess then maybe another temporary outlet might hit the spot like making a weekly call to the Samaritans in the 12 week waiting period. What do you think Jangles? |

"Have you tried not being depressed? You were a difficult child & didn't really try then, either." Thanks for that mother. Helpful, useful & insightful as ever. |

Ouch Malcolm That sounds like it was a painful conversation, honestly...... I think one of the problems of either suffering from depression or having a close relationship with someone that is suffering can be its non acceptance. You have my sympathy |
