Hills of Death (HOD)
Well it's a very big company but news gets around 2 last year and one this year. We are promoting hidden disabilities (mental illness) in our training for all staff and encouragement to,talk. This guy would have missed this as he's in a different part of business |

Sorry to hear of your struggles HoD, thinking of you. TBH I sometimes see work as a help in these situations. You go in, get on with stuff and there are people to talk to. Though I think we are used to stress at work, less so at home. |

I heard on Radio 2 news, aparently the Government is going to make depression a top priority.... they need to get their own house in order i.e. the govermnent policies that affect individuals. before telling Joe Public it a priority. (Imho) I hope they do, as it is needed desperately keep plodding HOD and J |

Must be something about the number 9 or perhaps there's something in the January air but I'm having massive anxiety issues today. Also my teenager was crying on pavement outside school because he didn't want to go in. The world is really kicking hard isn't it.. need to get up and kick it back but I feel glued down.

Well I can't even persuade my boy to get out of bed this morning.. At this rate he'll have no A levels and I'm at a loss as to how to help him when I don't even know how to help myself. I feel guilty. Did I cause this? |

No, jangles. You didn't cause this and nor did he. Sounds like the best thing you could do is get him to talk to a GP about what's going on.

I've already done that. The doctor was reluctant to offer meds, not that he would take them and he was given a number to call for youth counselling.. The counselling service had nothing to offer him but he's been seeing a counsellor in school but now school is becoming a trigger for his anxiety. We seem to be in a bit of an impossible loop atm. I eventually managed to get him in to school at lunchtime. I can only hope he actually went in. |

Anxiety/depression/lethargy has had quite a hold since Sunday. I went out at the weekend after working extra on Saturday. The whole of Sunday was a wipe out with me thinking everyone thought I was this awful person. In the end it culminated in huge row with OH before work this morning. I'm just totally drained of any kind of energy today. Hospital is on critical internal incident still today. I was sent to A&E to work for a few hours hours yesterday and felt like I was on the edge of tears the whole time. I felt totally traumatised by it all and there's the possibility of it happening again today. ((Jangles)) sounds like you're in an impossible situation atm |
