Ok in order. 1. Watched the TED thing. Interesting. Remain unconvinced of his methodology and therefore results. If it is true, then his conclusion seems to be don't think about anything, just experience. Sorry don't know how to do that. Seems not a good way to progress to me - just leads to deluded people (or politicians or are they the same thing). 2. Sorry, don't quite understand what you mean by more maps at the moment? 3. No I don't have anyone objective who would listen to me. Not whom can be bothered to offer sensible solutions with thought, and with detailed instructions on (a) what to do, (b) when to do it, (c) why I'm doing it, (d) how to do it and (e) what outcomes this will have in the short, medium and long-term futures. 4. At the moment, for safety and some privacy concerns, I'm not accepting any new buddies, unless I know them personally (i.e. I've actually met and talked to them) - sorry about that. I'm also re-making my blog buddies only for all posts for the same reason. 5. No, I still don't know of any things that make me happy. Sorry, not a very positive post. Not particularly feeling great. Highly anxious, highly frustrated, very angry. Yes. Happy. No. |

Hi Fozzy. As you can see I am a novice at this posting malarky - think I've still got my L plate on! Find posting a bit weird as I've never met anyone on fetch in real life yet. Sorry if I encroached on your privacy - I am just another runner with some past experience of similar concerns to those you raise - no harm meant. Hope your in the flesh buddies can offer some trusted perspective. Claypole |

Echo Claypole's apology - of course your safety and privacy comes first, and I understand that you don't want complete strangers reading your blog. Regarding the map comment - I thought I'd read a post here where you said you liked maps (though I may have misunderstood if I was skimming the page). If it's a hobby you enjoy, is there a way of doing more of it? I hope there is someone you can talk to, even if it's just to unload how frustrated, anxious, angry you are. |

P.s. I have worked it out - you said you were fascinated by maps, I think I misread that as a job or hobby! I was worried my overly-anxious mind was playing tricks on me.

Battling on SF, how about you? Though my mind is in a constant whirlwind of trying to work out what to do with my life. From work to if I want to move and then where to live. I guess they are all big decisions, which is maybe the issue. |

Is this just for depression or mental health in general?

SCP, they sound like big decisions! Hopefully you can see positives in a change, and the 'adventure' aspect, or is it all just too much? I'm trudging on, but still struggling to get out of bed some days and can't focus for very long on anything (even the TV). Running is still not easy, I put it off constantly. |
