Sounds like a classic case of 'it's them not you'. You can't control other people's reactions or how they perceive certain situations. Try not to beat yourself up about it, or keep asking yourself 'why?' I know it's hard - I'd probably react in the same way as you. I hope you get it sorted.

Work situations are complex for so many reasons. Different priorities, different cultures / ways of working, personal and professional jealousy. Nevermind simple personal friction ie folk just not "getting on". I've experienced them all (and more than once from the same colleague :-(:-))

Recovering from depression is all about having good days and bad days. Trouble is bad days are really bad, the good days merely okay. I had my first bad day for a long time thanks to work. I do a job and work in a profession I utterly hate but as I'm financially tied to the job I have to work on my mindfulness program and concentrate on goals that make me feel good. This will be a real test of the mindfulness course to keep my mind and mood stable. Can't wait to get out for a run again, that will hopefully shake off the cobwebs of miserableness.

Hope the run helped MaxDamage Thought I'd just drop in with better news than I've had in previous posts. The suicidal thoughts have stopped and I am feeling slightly better, a bit more positive and focused on finding things that might help. I don't feel like I'm totally out of the woods, or even close to it, but there is light between the trees. |

Hi TT, yes I was originally on citalopram and it did take a while to get used to, but things did get better. If you have any concerns though, speak to your GP. The anxious and down feelings was my first experience of citalopram. |

Citalopram suits me better than Prozac. Prozac left me feeling lethargic and at 40 mg meant I was asleep 12 hours a day

Similar experience with citalopram - a couple of weeks of fluctuating mood/anxiety, but then settled into gradual improvement
