Things still not great here, well, a bit better in some ways but not in others. His depression has lifted a bit, I think (he has now had a few weeks on 40mg citalopram so maybe it is kicking in slightly) but the OCD symptoms/intrusive thoughts/contamination fears are still way out of control. I couldn’t even begin to describe some of the irrational upsetting stuff going on here We are still having weekly appointments at hosp, and the Quetiapine has now been put up to 500mg. I don’t know if it’s helping or not. Hoping things will improve. Safe to say I had no idea how horrible and disabling OCD can get. Sorry I know this is not a thread about OCD. Hugs to all xxx |

Hi Sheri This thread is for support for everyone affected by mental illness, depression or other things. Depression often comes as a package with anxiety It must be so difficult for you to watch a loved one go through this xx Hope things start to settle down for both of you soon xx |

no - maybe I should. But wasn't that bad before, and nothing like others on here. Maybe just need a bit of moral support.

Don't compare yourself to others! Think about you! Maybe a trip to the doctor is in order? Please don't be scared of anti-depressants, they can help you get back on the level so that it is easier to help yourself. All areas of the country seem to offer very varying amounts of counselling (if you need a bit more than moral support) so that might be something you can talk to the doctor about. Not much seems to be available. |

Echo Lili - never mind others if you're struggling then do something now, don't wait until it's worse. GP appointment!
