Hi Sheri, hope it does help with your hubby.

Be carefull with yourself though. I was in a relationship with someone with quite bad depression, and it did start to have an affect on me. Which is why I'm now on anti depressants.

((hugs)) anyway.

Managed to get myself an appointment with a doc straight away.

Results not even borderline - the next thing to investigate is menopause, which because of my age is the most likely explanation. I'm not convinced, but they won't do any other tests until this has been checked out. It could take a while. :(:(:(

Good and bad news then Lili :-(

Don't give up hope yet though as at least the Doctor is aware of your condition now to try and sort something out.

Going to go back to the doc tomorrow to see if I can change back to Citalopram from Prozac. I'm wondering if the Prozac is affecting my running, whereas I'm pretty sure Citalopram never did.

I have googled it, and have found as many articles that say the Prozac doesn't affect exercise as those that say it does. I've got it into my head that it's causing me problems, so I hope that the doctor will let me switch back - even if it is just a psychological thing.

I've not been on here for ages, just battling away quietly . Yesterday I made first step and picked up for a phone consultation with doctor. Obviously not as good as going in but it's a first step and if I need to go in I will. Scared now! Scared they say nothing is wrong and nothing will change. I've over thought this far too much and have been preparing this conversation in my head since about May! See what happens today when he calls me :)

Hi Flopsie, have you had the phone consultation? How did it go?

I don't really like them as its difficult to say how you feel over the phone.

Hi Pete, I got call from doctor this morning. didn't want to go in as I hate to waste their time. I struggled to get the first sentence out which was ' I think I have depression' I've never really said it before and have been struggling to make this step for a while. As soon as I said it he said to come in. So I had an appointment this afternoon and he chatted for a bit and he said I definitely have depression and gave me tablets. I'm really reluctant to go down that route,I said that to him but he said it'll help. I wanted to find the cause etc....think that's cause I'm a fixer. Thought I might have got counselling or something but it wasn't discussed. I've to go back in 2 weeks.

Good for you Flopsie, always a big step making that first approach to a doctor. But just see it as taking responsibility for your own life.

What pills did he put you on? Is a bit of a shock at first, but see them as helping you.
