Today is "National EA Day". An EA is an Executive Assistant, or "secretary" in normal speak.

There is a sign up in the tea-making area of our Birmingham office which says, without a hint of self-deprecation, "At the hEArt of every tEAm is an EA".

For those of you wondering why we no longer use "secretary", there was the answer.

"At the hEArt of every tEAm is a secrEtAry". Easy. Just ignore the extra 't'.

All staff attending courses at EPC please be aware that for the time being all access to the quadrangle eating area is out of bounds.

Diana the Duck (Named after the Roman goddess of fertility and childbirth) has returned to EPC to once again give birth to a new family...this year we have 12 ducklings, and to ensure their safety and well-being the EPC management has agreed to make the Quad a no go area until the infants have achieved independent patrol status and are able to apply for an ASU secondment.

Could you send your duck secretary on a course about the difference between "giving birth" and "laying eggs"? Also, the difference between "childbirth" with the implication that a child will result and "laying eggs" with the implication that a duckling will result.

I'm assuming that no such course currently exists and that there might be money in setting one up.

I think that's the most sensible management decision that has every graced these pages. Well done EPC.

BLOATCORP* becomes TWEE* - Further Information

Dear All,

As you will have seen in the communications sent directly to employees from Paris, BLOATCORP has announced it is changing its name to TWEE.

What does this mean for BLOATCORP in the UK?

This exciting new chapter in the evolution of the Group will see the new identity systematically adopted by all businesses carrying the BLOATCORP name. The Group has indicated that it wants to streamline and simplify its portfolio of brands and trademarks to improve our visibility, recognition and overall consistency. The goal is ultimately One Company, One Brand across the World.

Here in the UK ... please do not begin to use the TWEE name or associated branding in any way. We remain BLOATCORP and will continue to use the BLOATCORP logo until further notice.
