Do you have stories of haunted police buildings?

Information required for Essex Police Museum talk/research project

As part of the Essex Police Museum's 2015 Talks Programme, next October I will be giving a talk on Haunted Police Stations.

As well as being a performance analyst in Criminal Justice and Offender Management Command, I'm a student of folklore and mythology and I'm conducting a research project to support the talk.

A small amount of information has already come to light, particularly around the former police station at Thorpe-le-Soken, Colchester police station and A Block at HQ.

Between now and next summer, I will be collecting more information on this subject and would like to hear from anyone - current or former police officers/staff - who feels they may have information which would be of interest to the study.

If you have any information, please contact me

To be fair I didn't know that A Block here was supposed to be haunted.

Billericay nick is supposed to be - I worked there for years and it was one of the least creepy places imaginable (along with HQ A Block).

Harwich nick is also supposed to be haunted - but that place is full of creaking passages and tiny unused rooms and would put the willies up anyone of an impressionable mindset.

What you really want is an analyst consulting the orb to predict crime trends...
