Yes, true. They've possibly seen the legal term and mentally merged it with premise.

Dear Dio,

I hope you are well.
This is just a quick note to let you know that we are yet to receive your entry for the UK IT Industry Awards. Please note that the entry deadline is approaching (11th July).
With 25 categories to choose from, there should be something for everyone!

Really? I bet there's bugger all for me.

Or us. Chances of a medium sized police force winning an IT award aren't high.

I worked on a programme that won an IT industry award after the top manager nominated it and voted for it in the name of a couple of hundred members of the team. It must have taken him a couple of weeks, but Dio still has a week until July 11th

There is somewhere in existence a photo of me clutching an award for best public sector advisory team from the Public Private Finance awards, an award comparable in its prestige with the best smelling turd on the streets of Wolverhampton gong.

Similarly there is a video of me extolling the virtues of the "Best Project" at an IT awards ceremony: a project that I had widely described internally as "a fcuking disaster". How to get stitched up by your CIO ...

Good Morning Contractor Community,

Please find attached some important information about keeping your laptop safe. It is imperative that you read and understand this as negligence in this area can have a detrimental effect on your contract.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Many Thanks,

Hi Glenn

Sometimes we need to set ourselves little challenges that will stretch us, but are achievable and instantly gratifying.

Try this challenge for the rest of the week, and reward yourself at the end with something suitable.

Write down a clearly defined objective for the week. Make it a process driven objective, not a results driven one. Put it up on your wall and call it something like—This Week's Focus.
Break your objective down into 15 steps and draw a line depicting the journey (see diagram below)

Carry out 5 steps each day and simply cross them off when they're completed.

This is our plan.

Objective: Talk on the phone to 15 new financial services brokerages, about the development of our business, to start relationships with the decision makers.
