So I guess I'm into the taper, vienna is 2 weeks today. A bit of a disrupted week through travel, and I'm too knackered to head out in the rain today so the last proper long run will have to wait to tomorrow.

Hard to say how prepared I am - feeling quite strong and fast (not so much today, but generally!) but I've not got close to the mileage I'd originally intended. I've just calculated that I have averaged around 6h total training per week this time round (including cross-training) when last time was close to 8. On the plus side the recent MP tests all went very well and as a fairly inexperienced marathoner I can hope I'm still on an upward trend generally. So I'll be aiming to enjoy the race, keep the effort levels low for at least the first half and let the pace look after itself.

Enjoy the taper jda, just try not to go too mad.

Oakley 20 for me today undulating isn't the word for the course, I don't think there were any flat bits! Took the first 10 easy in 1.13 then upped it to finish the second 10 in 1.06.

Hamstring issues have left me a bit light on miles and no speed work in the last 3 weeks. I had thought Milton keynes in 5 weeks was going to be a disaster but after today feel a bit more positive.

3 weeks till taper town....just need to build up to something to taper from!

Blimey Joe, good luck, you're on fire at the mo!

Very little speedwork for me with calf strain just recovering, so will be hoping for sub 3, rather then 2:55 at VLM
