Thanks for your help guys

Mixed feelings after my 20 mile ong run on Sunday - I averaged 7.23 min per mile ovveral which is greatl. However I only hit my MP taget on 2 miles. I was also going to accept a max of 3 miles above 7.30 and I ended up with 6 miles above that time

For me now the training is done and Ill have to see if I can do it on the day

Well done jda, one of the best conversions of half to full marathon PB that I've seen. Probably got a lot of potential there.

Thanks all. Uploaded the garmin trace and it gives 350m of up and down, far more than the organisers optimistically claimed! (I think it's right, the profile looks reasonable). So I reckon there could be anything up to 5mins to gain on a flat course, what with me being a bit big and slow up hills. At least I can reasonably hope for some further PBs. As for "conversion" it's probably got as much to do with having a bit more structure to my training - I basically worked from the jack daniels plan (though with a lot of cycling in place of base miles running). I think I'll try the same again next time.

Definitely off the board for frankfurt I am afraid, 3.5 weeks, no running and no improvement. Frankfurt is off now. Goal is to be back doing some running, and perhaps plod around NYC where I have been given a place, just for fun. Hope to be back and maybe aim for Seville.

Sorry to hear that TC. NYC entry is pretty pricey, nice to be given a place, have fun but don't aggravate the injury.

First run since chesterfield this morning. Wow that was hard work! Left thigh ache came back early on, calves stiff too. I thought I'd recovered well (with a swim and bike ride) but perhaps not enough :-) Lovely to be out again on a bright sunny morning though. Wonder when autumn will arrive?
