Very disappointing. I managed about 400m before my calf became painful again. Carried on for a couple of miles hoping that it would be ok, but it got worse so I had to call it a day.
It was more disappointing because last week at the TBC I managed about 10k, and although it became a bit painful after a couple of miles, it was manageable.

Just been in touch with my Physio. He suspects that I have a tear in one of the calf muscles, so no running for at least two weeks ☹️. Disappointing but necessary.
It's great to know a professional that answers business emails at weekends. (I'm not so sure what his wife thinks though).
I'll have to dust off my bike and try to find my swim shorts in the mean time, so I guess there is a plus side.

Thoroughly enjoyable but cold Bowiethon with Saxons, Vikings and Normans. My best run in many months.
