I was supposed to do an 8 mile LSR but only managed 6.5 and walked far too much.

Getting silly. Slogged through 10k with a visiting friend from Iceland in 58 minutes (including 3 stops to drink water). That is considerably slower than I ran a marathon a week ago. So sodding hot. I think I'll have to get up at 6am if I want to run here :/

Hi hi,
I finally blogged my Mývatn marathon. I had hoped to get some photos to include but no luck :( There is just one I took at home with my trophy.

Anyway, here it is if anyone is interested... http://www.fetcheveryone.com/blog-view.php?id=60676

A nice gentle 4 mile trot...easing my way back into a routine.....starting to feel good with no niggles for a change.

11 miles....totally misjudged where the route would finish and had to walk just sort of 3 miles home. However I took a short cut through the local nature reserve and thoroughly enjoyed it. Also, misjudged the temperature....really didn't need the running jacket on.

Hot and humid and no air again, but an excellent 9.37 miles at 9 min/mile pace.

8.75 country miles, which is longest for a while. Muggy, but very pleasant, if slow.
