Good to see you back, Turkhish :)

Well done, Lip Gloss. And everyone else, but a parkrun that's run all the way for the first time in a long time is an achievement worthy of bunting :)

I managed to avoid a PW on a course that was the hardest I've ever raced the distance on.

Avoiding a PW is an achievement in itself. 14.8m fell race today (first one) - pleased to sneak under the 2.30 mark but no real way to assess whether it was a good/crap/meh performance given the lack of comparators. Glad to finish it, though - about six different bits of me hurt, all the way from my foot (blister) to my head (still a bit dehydrated) :)

I was feeling lethargic and lazy (probably just tired from the trip as well as a bit sad about some recent bad news) but I forced myself out for a long slow run. More slow than long, but that was fine. I went back to my forest and found new and even higher paths up the mountain, walked quite a lot and jogged the rest. 17k all in which is my longest run for ages but very much needed, both physically and mentally.
Gymnastics starts again tomorrow - gulp!

6 miles with a head torch. I didn't need the torch much, it was mostly practice for running with a buff and torch on my head.

5 miles broken into jog to club, warmup to intervals, intervals and cooldown home. Legs aching gratifyingly now.
