Yes I agree. Mine was Glenmore 24 which consists of a nice 4 mile trail loop with 1 hill. I'm a plodder and I managed it, I didn't sleep mind.

Whw race is far harder & my pb there is 27:13. Sub 24 is the Holy Grail for me in that race

I ran 88 miles at Equinox last year in the 24 hours although I took lots of breaks & total actual time moving was 17 hours. I'm aiming for a 100m next year and thank it should be doable based on equinox.

Yes - I did just under 16hrs at Endure24 and covered 70 miles. It was my first experience of this type of event, and came off the back of a hugely stressful week at work and home. Next year I will have more experience, although being in the middle of exam season the stress at home and at work will not be any less!

(on behalf of my wife..torey, here on Fetch)...she's not a fast marathon runner but has done a good few longer ultras.. for example 88 miles on looped trail run Hope24, 105 miles in 24 hours on the track, the Thames Path-TP100 in a minute over 24 hours. She takes food breaks but never sleeps and able to then travel home by public transport (staying awake!) and then enjoy drinks at home often eight hours later than the race end! The ability to stay awake and keep moving seems to be an advantage for her. If you only kept moving for 17 hours Jovi Runner then there are a lot of miles there for you to grab! Some people though I know have serious problems with sleep deficit.

ah Jovi Runner..and yes , you're a much much basically faster runner than torey so un theory that sleep you take is something to sort out!

I took Pro plus and cups of tea! I survive on not much sleep in normal life so maybe I've adapted. And since I'm so slow I always run through that bonus 2nd night at whw race ;-)

I don't normally need much sleep, but I wasn't enjoying running at that particular point, so a wee kip seemed a better option than giving up completely! That said, I wasted loads of time sitting down to eat and chat with friends when I could just have easily have walked and eaten and chatted!
