Joe/others. This is the best 100 mile training "guide" I have seen. From our very own Els of Centurion Running! centurionrunning.com I would recommend picking a few people who you know are trianing for 100s and who you know will do pretty well at them and looking them up on strava/fetch, just to see what they are doing and the pace and consistency. I found my best long distance ultras come from when I was banging out reasonably quick marathons every other weekend. |

Ta Binks. Was probably going to message a few guys particularly Dave Ross though suspect his training is just scary :-S

Thanks Binks - that does look useful even if someone were only just possibly thinking about 50 at some point in the distant future

I've finally got round to writing up the Chiltern Way ultra that I ran over the recent bank holiday weekend: http://www.fetcheveryone.com/blog-view.php?id=30204 You could probably get a long run done in the time it would take to read it - so to summarise, Lindley Chambers and Challenge Running put on a fantastic pair of races - the 214k and the 100k version - and I would thoroughly recommend either if you fancy a challenging run. |

Anyone on here at Equinox 24. I did say hi to one Fetchie in a Fetch vest but forgot their Fetch name in my tiredness. My first time running over 35m. Did 88.2 in total (10 laps of just over 10KM). Very happy as first time of running a solo 24 hour event. Have the worlds worst DOMS today as well as a gashed near and strained shoulder after a rather spectacular fall at only 2 miles in! Really pleased to finish 5th lady.
