That is a totally wonderful, funny, brilliant blog. I was planning on writing mine of the same race this weekend but it would be hard to compete with that. Congratulations on an excellent finish time but even bigger congratulations on the birth of your baby girl |

Yeah, UTLD was good fun - I marshalled at Blencathra, saw a lot of people there and after. Els showed us all how to get through the 41-mile CP, (about 30 seconds)... Went out and did some climbing and scrambling on Blencathra/Sharp Edge in the morning afterwards which was pretty awesome Well done to all the UTLD Ledgends! |

Just back from 10 days in the camper van first weekend marshaling at Howtown for the lakeland 50/100. Then driving various paces before going to the west coast to run the 140mile c2c over to the east coast. One of the highlights(Highlight is maybe not he right word since someone was ill) of the holiday (other than winning the c2c) was seeing a runner come back to our check point after leaving over an hour previously. she had found a runner who was ill at the top of the biggest climb in the race and walked her back to the checkpoint to make sure she was ok. we managed to convince her to get running again about an hour later but by that time she didnt make the next cut off. I think her Name was Anna and I have been told she is a Fetchie. If anyone knows her fetch name please let me know as sacrificing her race for someone she didnt know deserves a MOTM nomination.
