Yes I am bing told about this I asked before i organised this whether there was anything similar and got a resounding NO. However I think it will still be fun though. |

Cosmic hillbashers do a 10k version along Aberdeen beach at xmas time where you have to climb the groynes or go far enough out to sea to avoid them

Binks - just finished reading your book. Loved it. Genuinely thought it was the best book I've read on running. Thanks.

rf - on the warmest day of the year an ice and snow event sounds quite refreshing Never say never.... For those who spent last week "dot watching" the GPS trackers on Dragon's Back - here's my blog/race report which might explain the slow, random daily progress! guymawson.wordpress.com |

Great blog. Guess I'd better start putting the pennies away for 2017. As a matter of interest, was the 'must have done a multi-day event' entry criteria enforced? i.e. do I need to do a MM next year? |

flanker, the entry pages for 2017 state there's no vetting and they assume everyone knows what they're doing. Not that I'd checked that last week, during the race, oh no. |

2017 onwards will be different - no vetting, set checkpoints and GPX routes all available beforehand. Not sure if it will be a prescribed route of more of a recognised / recommended route in the style of something like Fellsman. That makes it a different event in my eyes, still a huge challenge but it strips away a level of uncertainty and navigation. You can recce the exact route to death before especially Day 2. It's a shame but probably the only way to get a field every 2 years, they couldn't fill it this year with 300+ entrants due to vetting! |
