57.5 Degrees of Pain
Back to more sensible length Ultras! Currently sitting looking over Lake Victoria after a 9 mile pre-Comrades warm weather acclimatisation run at 4000ft. Also ran on the Tanzanian coast in 35 degree heat which all helps, especially with some Kilimanjaro beer for rehydration ;-).

Anything is a possibility ;-)

Realistically not so sure as you're talking 7-12 miles. Which is sub 3-09 marathon pace.

For comparison in 1999, I managed 44.43 miles in a six hour race and posted a 2-51 marathon later that year.

LDWA Red Rose 100 this weekend. We're planning to go v slowly and make sure we put on weight.

15 CPs with LDWA style food should help with that :-)

I did 42 at a similar time to a 3.19 marathon
Suppose it depends a lot on terrain and how well you convert
Think 50 miles would put you with the top women , I think Helen t did almost 50 on a track, I think she is about 2.50 for marathon

I have done 46.2M in 5:54, when I was in 3:05 shape. I have since done two 2:56's so was thinking it is possible. I'll probably need to run around 3:00 for marathon split to allow a bit for slowing.

Love it, three months ago I'd never done a sub 3 now I'm thinking about running it as a split :-D
