If you miss the spuds at the official aid stations there are plenty of locals on hand with supplies. I'd have taken some of the barbequed delights they offer too but I don't eat meat.
flanker Sep 2014 12:20am, 18 Sep 2014 15,253 posts	0 flanker You don't have to worry about making sure you miss Badwater any more V'ra, not since the US nanny state got their hands on it and stopped the race from happening (and in doing so increased the risk as people will end up dying doing it solo...)

I read some article that the organiser was in touch with the National Park authorities and that they'd come to some sort of "agreement". Not that it troubles me, I can't see me putting in an entry form anytime soon

It sounds like "common sense" will prevail and it should be back on the old route next year - although I'm with others on this thread, it's not on my list!
