Too Much Water
Think I saw you in TVP Avon when I was doing the parkrun. Hard lines on the DNF, they come to us all at some point.

Not every day you get to go for a run with Northern Excile, Robbie Britton, Nicodemus Holland and Joe Grant.

Avon
Cheers guys, it sucks a bit but I'll get over it. Also have to be honest with my failings on this one.

You mean limp through to the end and collapse at the finish LBM?

You know it wont come to that Avon. You'll be ready! You're a much stronger runner than that!

Back to a distance you lot would find short :)

Thames Path (50K) from Runneymede to Henley for me on the 13th - Iim assuming that I can I get away with road shoes ? I was rather expecting it will be at least part tarmac and hard surfaces or reasonable dry grass ?

If the weather turns between now and then and it will be very wet then could wear trusty Roclites - but they're a bit hard under foot for 50K for me if there is a lot of "road"

thanks

A lot of it is indeed tarmac and hard paths, though there are bits that can get muddy if it's significantly wet. I'd go with whatever's comfortable on harder surfaces as you'll need that more than lots of grip.
