Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I'm still going to my Iyengar class once a week and think it's really helping with injury prevention. Although i can't ever see the day where I'll be 'remotely flexible'. My hamstrings and glutes are still as tight as a tight thing but it's got to be assisting. I can feel I've done something after a class. Id like to think that when I have more experience (and time) I will get into some daily self practice and that's when i would get to see the real benefits. I feel I'm just scratching the surface with 1 hr 20 mins a week:-)

I'm surprisingly flexible but my balance can be abysmal at times! I've been injured for a little while when I pushed myself too far in something by accident...it's finally recovered after a few months' rest. I'll try to get into a daily practice but gently ease myself into it.

I went to a Hatha yoga class on Wednesday for the first time in years. I am very inflexible, even more so having had a few months without running and the usual stretching routine post-run. I enjoyed it immensely though and will go as much as I can - can't commit to every week unfortunately.

I got mine in TKMaxx. They don't always have the straps in but you could use a belt or online at Amazon.

I find a webbing belt does fine as a yoga strap...one with the D rings. I got my blocks when I went to the OM yoga show...they had a special that day too - two blocks for £5 which was a steal! Shop around as they vary hugely in price.

Aldi and Lidl do this sort of thing sometimes, Tiger do some exercise equipment too but I don't know if it's any good as their stuff is ridiculously cheap.

You never know what you might find in that place and each shop varies. ;-)
