Have you taught her 'paw' (all Battersea dogs leave Battersea knowing 'paw' even if they know nothing else!) We get Wanda's front paws much drier than the back ones as a result of her being happy to give this paw/other paw/both paws for a succession of treats!

The back ones are not so easy and the towel ends up getting it if I'm not fast enough. Perhaps I'll just say paw for the backs too and reward with a liver treat. If the owners are in when I get back and she's had enough of being dried, the barking soon brings them to the back door. She's a collie crossed with German shepherd and can be quite strong on the end of a towel.
