Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Sharkie: do you think we could add info to the header which would be especially helpful to newbies like me...

E.g. Fetchname, dog name, dog breed, dog age.

WineLegs, Skye, Border Collie, <1.

I have no idea about everyone's hounds...but want to know.

Would people be happy about that?

Could put DOB instead of age?

MN, Chester, mini dachsund, born August 2020 (just turned 11 weeks)

Chester was introduced for the second time to the family dogs. Two great big black lab mixes. Unfortunately he attempted to punch done biscuit from tyre biggest one and she went for him :( he was physically ok, but got a real fright. Seems to have recovered ok and they did then hang out for a few minutes in the garden. I know it’s important for him to socialize with other dogs but this has made me want to just keep him on his own even more!

MN it is part of him learning boundaries. It will feel scary for you but older dogs put younger dogs in their place with a stern warning.

Roberto, Arlo, working cocker, may 2020.

Yeah, the socialisation is terrifying when they are so little. The inlaws dog (Corby) doesn't like other dogs and didn't want anything to do with arlo and snapped at him a few times as arlo just kept jumping at him. I said to just let them but everyone else was really anxious and kept them on leads. Corby now loves running around on the beach with him and they properly play together.

My dads labrador who is 35kg, accidentally sat on arlo several times who was only 6kg at the time. Was hilarious seeing them together but Bruce is so dopey it was never a worry.

Ernie would be April 2016

Poor buffer is unwell again. Woken at 6:15 by him yelling. He’d been sick in the crate and desperately needed out.

I saw a beautifully trained husky on our walk last night...the same age as Skye. I have some serious work to do with her. Serious work.

I hope Ernie is better in himself today. Dog spew is no fun.
