That's great D. It's such hard work at this stage. Those lovely moments make all the difference.

I did Harwich parkrun this morning and afterwards we took Wanda onto the beach, there wasn't a great deal of beach as it had not long been high tide and she wasn't impressed when the sea came right up to her.... so she chased it away.... but then it came back to chase her again (this went on for some time ) She also discovered that growling at the sea makes no difference and biting it doesn't achieve a great deal either.... but we all had fun....

Charlie jumped in the canal for the first time today. At least we know for sure he can swim now!

Lots of close encounters with water for our 4 legged friends. Ernie loves the sea but wasn't quite so keen when we hosed him down with the shower yesterday.

A successful day D?
We had an inadvertent socialisation opportunity yesterday. I took Ernie to Cromarty for a walk and a wander round the village. Little did I know it was gala day. We escaped to the beach just before the procession of people in fancy dress started which was lucky as there were bagpipes involved. He was curious but they were far enough away to not cause distress.

Just got back from a walk right to the far end of the dogs-allowed beach which is a good mile long. Flossie found a stick which we had to throw/splash/retrieve all the there and all the way back. What a very happy dog. :-)There were lots of dogs having a great time.
A foreign lady walking along the shoreline said to me 'I have decided I'm going to move to England, come and live here and get a dog!'

I took the German Shepherd/Collie cross out today and met a lovely little boy with really good dog manners.
"Does it bite?" "No she's fine" He gives her nibs a gentle but purposeful scratch behind the ears; she gives it the friendly face. "Thank you" "You're welcome"
