Got a few more days left with Soulmatches but frankly already lost interest. What is it with men? 58 year old bloke, good profile, but one of his non-negotiable criteria is age and I, at 56, i.e. younger than him, om too old... 🙄 Where does this come from? Women are supposed to not find it an issue to be approached by someone who is 70+, i.e. 15 years older, yet a woman, God forbid interested in someone her own age??? Scandalous! Let alone someone younger... Grrrrrrr...

It’s an attitude more than anything but I’d draw the line at 10y, and many older men seem even older. C is only 18 days younger, we couldn’t get much closer!

My ex husband of 17 years was 13 years older than me, it was never an issue, I am 13 years older than Jigs, also not an issue for either of us, we wouldn’t have got married 13 years ago if it was. It’s very sad that people got hung up about numbers, there are far more important things in life. I hope someone who will love and care for you comes along for you Hanneke and you Sushi, you are both lovely people. Pops out again.

I think this time around, I had already removed those barriers. Not that Ali had any of my non negotiables (I don't think?!) but mentally I'd decided to be more open to all types. (within the boundaries of personal taste) The height thing is a tricky one for a lot of tall women, and short men.... I'm a short woman so it's never been an issue in my world. Altho i have met shorter men, there aren't that many.
