Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

I should also do a 5 mile or 10km at some point so I can get a fetch standard

Not planned anything definite, but may be a half marathon, my first in eight years. If I can keep running a bit more, and everything holds together.

57.5 Days of Xmas
Completely lost the racing mojo this year but I signed up for the Highland Fling. It will be slow but I enjoy the route.

Having been out of 'proper running' for quite a while, I've decided on getting back to Parkrun with a view to building for the Cartmel Challenge and Dublin Marathon next year, and anything else that might shout at me in the meantime.

Starting from scratch, with C25K. Don't really need it as I'm out with the dogs twice a day, but it seems sensible to me.

Old Mum did you get a place in the ballot for Dublin 2024?

I was unsuccessful so maybe 2025 for me.

I did Shades. Entered as a complete chancer and got in! It's one I've always fancied, but never got around to entering. Now that I'm single, and my son can dog sit, I went for it not expecting to get in. Never been to Dublin, so absolutely delighted.

Old Mum you'll love it. It's a great weekend and a great race. I did it last year, I've done it about 15 times now.

Book your accommodation early, it's fairly pricey. It's a bank holiday weekend in Ireland and that ramps the prices up a bit more.
