Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Still in. Today will be easier because I’m staying in. Tomorrow will be more tricky, I think!

Merry Christmas and Happy NewG(rrr)
Still in, despite close calls with BBC news playing various sleigh bell laden clips of music for some articles and obv cafes and shops. But not Whammed yet. :-) G

Oh no! I’m still in but only because I’ve not been anywhere other than for my early morning run. Might be different tomorrow.

Oh no! So close...

I've only heard it twice so far; today I've survived Sainsbury's, Asda, and M&S too!

I'll post an updated list later.

Three out today! The clinic had no music at all, just Countdown on the telly in the post-jab waiting area. Safely through most of the day.

GOOGLE SHEET HERE:

Sheet for 2024 is on the first tab; you update your own entry. As with previous years, we're also tracking the number of repeated 'hits' for those who are out before the end (if you want to).

Who's up for the challenge then? whamageddon.com

"The 1st Rule
The objective is to go as long as possible without hearing WHAM's Christmas classic; "Last Christmas".

The 2nd Rule
The game starts on December 1st, and finishes at the end of December 24th.
Use your local timezone, if you'd like.

The 3rd Rule
Only the original version applies.

The 4th Rule
You're out as soon as you recognise the song.

Player vs Player?
While we can't stop you from deliberately sending your friends to Whamhalla, the intention is that this is a survival game. Not a Battle Royale. So ... don't be a dick, okay?"
