Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch
or for an ad-free Fetcheveryone experience!

Arrived at 5pm! The new album from The Strokes (pre-ordered yonks ago). How about this for a prescient album title?

Sticker from the council for the garden waste wheelie bin to show we've paid for this year's collections (which, doubtless, they will now suspend)
Just in time, it's nearly full after bank holiday weekend weeding!

Claiming 2nd place at approx 9:15! Water rates bill for the seaside house. Estimated. Apparently we've used 4 cubic metres of water since the lockdown. This is unlikely, unless we've got squatters.

LD - the other possibility is a slow-dripping tap, or a loo tank where the ballcock hasn't quite risen up enough to close off the flow.

Disappointed to find it’s a bank statement (for an account which holds very little money these days) and not my seed order nor my hedge trimmer parts.

um
Amazon parcel due today - new kettle (for us) and fat balls (for the birds). Was worried if we went for a run it might not get left. Way too late to take part in this competition.

I tried the website to leave instructions, eg 'leave on doormat' or 'leave by the backdoor' but it was only a drop down list of non suitable options. (unless anyone has a receptionist I can borrow?)

So Mrs Um went for a run first. No parcel, so I went after she got back.

Seems we needed have bothered - the driver had left the parcel on the mat, rung the bell & legged it without waiting.
