Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Oh DoD :( who have you got locally who can pitch in for a bit and lighten your load or lend you a shoulder or an ear?
Stewie- that did make me laugh, you can now empathise with getting stuck ina dress in a v small changing room . . . . happens to us all sooner or later!

DoD take care and rest as much as possible

L10 some of the 700 thread posters are going to Coniston this weekend for a meet - wasn't sure if you knew that or no.

Stewie I have on too, good for my back support but not the most flattering of dress wear.

Did Baxter's 10k at the weekend, course PB but unfortunately not a PB. My blisters took a bit of a battering so it made my decide I'm not entering the half next month and to make sure I stick to my word I have Alfie for a sleepover as DiL (to be) is going bridesmaid dress shopping then out for a few drinks ;-)

I did enter another 10k for November and also thought of another but that is the weekendof my birthday so would most probably be either out for drinks or people round for drinks....think I have done enough anyway and the SAP ones are always there.

Stewie - that made me laugh. :) I have a very tight running top that stops just above my belly. Even when I was under 9 stone I looked like I had a spare tyre so I only ever wore it inside with my treadmill. I doubt it would even fit today!

LG - sorry to hear about your blisters - they don't sound like much but the pain is unbearable. No point doing a half if your heart isn't in it and you get to spend more time with Alfie.

Mulbs - it's bad timing as my next door neighbour's little boy is off sick so no help there. OH is going to work from home tomorrow morning and do the school run but no idea how I'll get through the next 2 weeks! There's the in-laws but they're very reluctant to help out.

Dod I'm so sorry to hear that things really aren't going your way at the mo. It will all come together at once though the tablets will kick in and you will feel like you can take on the world.

Stew lol that made me chuckle! My hubby isn't a slim Jim he has a couple of sondico ones from chavs direct that he wears underneath his running top and swears by them. Bloody work eh 😞 Hopeful it will settle down for you soon.

Lg well done on the course pb, blisters are horrible hope they heal soon.

I got out and did 9k tonight with the hubby and a friend, quite ugly after 6k but I'm chuffed I got it done. Takes me to 54k for the month so far and felt quite strong. Was a dilbert though and removed hard skin from under my big toe yesterday...... Clearly was there for a reason as it hurt like crap and I gave a blister!

Happy October everyone! Alpen how did you get on today at the Lakeland Trail race? It's so beautiful up there, we are back home now but were thinking of you today.

Andy good luck tomorrow, think I saw on the 700 thread you've been under the weather so hopefully you'll be right for tomorrow and will smash it.

A nice five miles for me today and yesterday. There is a tiny hill on my usual five mile route and on both runs I ended up sprinting up it, yesterday to avoid a massive tractor doing hedge cutting and I didn't want to get blasted with hedge trimmings, and today because there is a wasp nest in the hedge and I think they were angry from having their hedge trimmed yesterday!

Hope everyone else is having a good weekend. Don't forget if you have a ten mile time log it for Sept, and this weekend is the one mile so try and get one in when you can. :-)

Oh yes LG, I saw your 150 pr picture in the gallery bunting and great capris, will have to get myself down to Asda, my capris are boring black.

I will look forward to some blogs and photos of the Lakes run, I love Corrah's blogs and hopefully Alpen will fill us in on her outing.

DoD how are things, any improvements on any fronts for you and DD? Hope so, you really could use some good luck for a change x
