Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Thanks Rosehip.

Yes pricey but lots of support points which I thought may be good for a first attempt at a longer one.

I struggle a little bit with the whole idea of getting the charity to pay my place.

Plus the charity I want to support isn't on the list.

For a first ultra, Relentless Forward Progress is a useful read

For a first ultra enter ten days before in the pub half cut, and make sure you’ve not run more than a half marathon previously. You’ll be in bed before 8pm after the event, and not be able to walk for a week but you’ll be hooked ;-)

Lol Derby Tup but I've already failed on many of those points.

Indeed Oscar.

I guess my priority will still be my April mara but figured I could just build some extra distance after that and slow it down, a lot.

This is the only rule re timing I could find:

You must reach the halfway point (Llandidloes) in no more than half the full allocated time limit.

The total time limit is 88 hours.
