Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Why I cannot get the last inch of coffee out of the cafetiere without removing the sieve (which rather bypasses the whole point).

Watching a programme on Yesterday channel about making a car that will go 1000 miles an hour.

Why?

[That’s 16.6 miles per minute. It’d be too fast to be caught by the speed cameras but we’d have to build some very straight roads]

I assume it's the bloodhound car you're talking about? My guess is that the science behind the project will have much more long term and far reaching benefit than just going that fast because they can.

Why is it that I like baked beans but find the thought of eating them cold from the tin nauseating?

What happens when Yousef Islam (Cat Stevens) and the band Propaganda meet? Is there a big fight? Yousef said that the first cut is the deepest but Propaganda claim that the first cut won’t hurt at all, even the second will only make you wonder, but the third will have you on your knees. Whatever the rights and wrongs of it all, it’ll all end in tears.
