Mr. Grumpy
Took my Alphafly’s out for the first time today, ahead of a HM this Sunday. Found them very odd to walk in, but so nice to run in. No problems with any twinges or anything, so I’ll give them a go in the HM, and see what happens… |

The more I hear about the real speed improvement, the less I want them! How long can I remain a luddite stuck in 2015 technology?

larkim, if you get a pair you will no longer be able to sandbag (but you might hit the targets you are aiming for!)

Lol CW SPR I like the 4% and if they made them I'd buy them. However the alpha as ugly and weird as it is does feel quick. |

Found them very odd to walk in Same with my shiny new pair of next % 2. I did quad stretches just before christening them with a parkrun and nearly fell over, very wobbly. But the parkrun was a 13 second all time PB (previous had only stood for 9 weeks though) and I have no real complaints about how they felt for running - there are hairpin bends on that route and they felt even sharper than usual but on the straights, excellent. Using them for a half this weekend & we'll see how that goes. |

Lol chunkywizard, larkim would likely sandbag more. Would take a while to recalibrate expectations so would smash 'target' by even more than expected. I'm in obsolete tech that never really got started it seems (old school racing flats that use pebax). Maybe my last two pairs will last long enough for things to come full circle (eg Nike realises the Streakfly should be a proper racer to achieve its aim). Gobi lower drop in the Next didn't suit you? |

LOL @ chunkywizard and SPR The thing is, I never knowingly sandbag. But I know my reputation ![]() |

they are nice and light Mini but significantly less super than Nikes imho. I do really like running in them though. Will be great to hear your feedback. I was really tempted by the Streakfly until now..... |
