Hi ,
It looks like you're using an ad blocker.

The revenue generated from the adverts on the site is a critical part of our funding - and it's because of these ads that I can offer the site for free. But using the site for free AND blocking the ads doesn't feel like a great thing to do, which is why this box is so large and inconvenient. Some sites will completely block your access, but I'm not doing that - I'm appealing to your good nature instead. Did you know that you can allow ads for specific sites, whilst still blocking them on others?

Thanks,
Ian Williams aka Fetch

Treadmills are a bit like the loo-roll of the moment - most of the websites I've looked out are out of stock of every model, even the ones that cost thousands... (nb, you should not make a treadmill using loo roll).

These shoes must be the discreet lockdown variety so no-one notices you flouting the guidelines with a sneaky extra run :-)

Gus, I didnt think I could justify the £400-£500 spend and was looking at lower end of the market but knew there were limitations, but working on the basis that something is better than nothing

Didnt properly look and didnt explore 2nd hand, but suspect that I would need to travel to collect which may not be classed as essential travel.

If you were starting up a business dealing in 2nd hand treadmills it would presumably be ok :-)

Be aware the lower end treadmills have restrictions on their speed and typically have a shorter belt (so not so good for intervals). I ended up spending a bit more to make sure it will fit all of my needs for now and in the future

But not sure I understand the need for a treadmill right now - we are allowed to go running!

jda, I guess many people suspect a full lockdown is coming, or can't use gym ones as usual, or like me they've thought about one to avoid ice/wind/rain and this has tipped them over the edge into buying one.

Also, if you want to run longer it's easier to do that on a treadmill whereas this might be policed somehow in the future
