I tested positive yesterday njo. Can't say I'm feeling up to running. I took the dog for a walk and was a bit breathless going up a hill. I don't think it's a good idea to push too hard even if you don't have too many Covid symptoms, so delaying until August might be a good idea.

Sorry to hear that njo and B Rub, hope you both recover quickly.
Be careful not to exert yourself too soon after Covid recovery. Some people (not all) have reported quite long recovery times and returning too early to work or exercise has prolonged their symptoms and hindered recovery. Take care. G

That's bad luck for both of you, hope there's nothing more than a short term inconvenience and you're back out there soon enough. Shame if it's scuppered plans.

It's absolutely rife here (south west England), hoping the improved weather and Easter provides a natural break; feel for you both.

Not good njo and B R .
I'm currently trying to motivate myself to get out and run some miles whilst waiting for the dreaded phone call telling me my car will fail its mot unless I get x, y and z done!

yeah, best wishes BR, NJO.
My own experience was that I was noticeably under the weather for about 10 days then started to feel OK day-2-day. However, going for an easy run got me at tempo HR after just a few mins and that lasted for a good few weeks after.
Rife here too. Rules relaxed, we had an offsite work group meeting: 8 down. I'm sure it's strain dependent but the folks who have it now seem to be a bit worse than those who got Omicron over Xmas.

Thanks for the best wishes. I'm still fine on day 2 but no running is likely to take place for a week or two. Walking seems fine for now although we're sending the dog off to stay with my younger daughter and son in law.

I seem to be cycling through different symptoms, started with a headache, then a low level fever, then congestion and sore throat and last night shivering. No loss of taste or smell. Not sure if that is still a thing with Omicron.

I started to get a headache on Sunday evening, tested negative on a rapid test on Monday, fever overnight on Monday and tested positive on a rapid test on the Tuesday morning.
